Steven L. Parrish, CPA
Steve Parrish joined Balkcom, Pearsall & Parrish CPAs, P.A. during 2003. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Steve's primary focus is on individual taxation and financial planning, and works extensively with small retail businesses. In addition to dealing with technical tax and accounting issues, Steve consults with his clients on increasing the profitability of their businesses.
Steve has over twenty-four years of experience in serving clients in New Mexico and Arizona, having graduated from the Anderson Schools of Business at the University of New Mexico in 1980 (with distinction). During this time, he worked with a national accounting firm in Phoenix, and other large regional firms in New Mexico.
Steve has served in numerous leadership roles with his church, including being the chairman of the finance committee for four years. Also, he was a member of the Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital board of trustees for nine years (from 1993 through 2002), spending four years as treasurer, and three years as vice-chairman of the board.
Steve is a native New Mexican, having grown up in Alamogordo and Albuquerque. He and his wife Jody have two sons, ages 19 and 17. Over the years Steve has coached various basketball and soccer teams his children have participated with.
